практична: активізувати навички володіння лексикою «Життя в місті та селі»; формувати навички читання з метою вилучення інформації; тренувати вживання речень умови 2 та 3 типу; удосконалювати навички аудіювання текстів.

освітня: поглиблювати знання учнів про оточуючий світ; розширювать світогляд учнів.

розвиваюча:розвивати вміння виокремлювати потрібну інформацію з тексту, вміння логічно та послідовно висловлюватись на основі заданої мовленнєвої ситуації; розвивати логічне мислення учнів через проведення таких операцій як аналіз, порівняння, систематизація; розвивати мовну і слухову пам`ять.

виховна:виховувати толерантне ставлення до смаків та думок оточуючих.

ХІД УРОКУ

I.Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

1.Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T.: -Good afternoon, children! Sit down, please.

T.: - I`m glad to see all of you here because today we are going to dwell on the topic which is very important for young people. Especially for those who want to settle down, start their own family or enter a university. I`m talking about places of living, their pros and cons. So, the topic of our lesson is "Moving into... a new life". (Slide 1) Today we`ll read the text, listen to some native speakers, practice conditional sentences and talk a lot. By the end of our lesson you`ll be able to actively use the grammatical material and the vocabulary studied on the topic.


2.Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

T.: - And my first question is "Have you ever experienced such a big change in your life as moving to a new place of living?"

II.Основна частина уроку.

1. Активізація лексичних одиниць.

T.: And now let`s talk about things which people should remember when they want to move to a new place. But before, I would like to show you some pictures. They will help you with ideas.
P1.: - Maybe accommodation and friendly neighbours.
P2.: -I think that it`s very important whether you go alone or with your family. For example, if you have children you need to think about school or kindergarten and different places for entertainment for your kids.
P3.: - Medical service and safety.

P4.: -I think that it`s very good if you live close to nature. Maybe mountains. Because polluted area it`s not a good neighbour.


T.: - Yes, you are right! All these aspects are very important.

2. Практика аудіювання.

a) pre-listening activity / listening:

T.: - And now you will hear 4 people talking about their places of living. Listen and finish the sentences that are in ex. 4. Be very attentive because you`ll hear Bill, Ann, John and Mary only once. Look through these sentences.
1.Bill prefers life in the village because .......
2.Ann couldn`t wait to escape from the village because ......

3.John and Mary decided to move out of the city because ......

b) post-listening activities:

T.: - All these people live in different places, they have their preferences. What about you? Where do you live, in the city centre, a suburb or a village? What do you like most about the area you live? Is there a difference between your lifestyle at the moment and what you would prefer?
P1.: -I like my village a lot but I would prefer to live in the city because I`m a very active person and there are many places of entertainment in the city.

P2.: - The area where I live is very small, quiet and boring. In the future, I want to go to university. And then I`ll see where it`s better to live.

3.Практика читання.

a) pre-reading activity:

T.: - And what might make people move to a different place or who?

P.: - parents, education, job, love,...

b) work with the text:

T.: - In your book you have a very nice text about Mike Morrison. He was a city dweller. What does it mean? Who is a city dweller?

P.: - City dweller is a person who lives in a city.

T.: - What about people who live in the countryside?

P.: - They are country dwellers.

T.: - Read the first paragraph quickly and find out who made Mike move to a new place.

P.: - It was parents decision.

T.: - Was Mike happy with this decision? Can you find adjectives which describe Mike`s attitude toward the situation in the first paragraph? Think of synonyms for each adjective.
P.: - furious- irate, desperate

       amazed - shocked, surprised, speechless

T.: - So, the boy was furious and how would you feel if you were in Mike`s situation?

P.: - I would be sad because I don`t like changes.

T.: - Thank you. Now (ex 6). To do it skim the text and find the sentences about Mike (M), his father (F), mother (M), Emily (E), Say who the sentences in this ex. are about.
